About LFI

Living Faith International is a registered non-profit Christian organization based in  Clemmons, North Carolina, USA.  The Founders, Wade & Carla Porter, have lived in Kenya, East Africa since June 1987.  They initially lived and established ministry outreach in Kakamega, in the Western Province of Kenya.  After placing the responsibilities for rural ministry in the hands of a seasoned associate, they relocated to Nairobi, the capitol city of Kenya, where they could be more effective, not only in Kenya, but also in other East African nations.

In 1994 Wade and Carla launched Victory Faith Church with the purpose of teaching, training, and mentoring others to live by faith in God’s Word, learn of Him and His desire to bless His people, and then be distributors of that blessing.  They continue to serve as the Senior Pastors. 

Living Faith International has a number of outreaches which have been initiated to meet various needs in East Africa.  These can be accessed through the icons on our home page.

FOUNDERS    

Wade & Carla Porter both received the Lord as adults.  Carla graduated from Memphis State University in Memphis, Tennessee.  For ten years she taught various subjects in high schools, particularly English and History.  She also owned a school of dance where she enjoyed teaching tap and ballet dancing. 

Wade was trained in structural and architectural design, interior decorating, and commercial art.  These crafts are being utilized greatly in the various development projects of LFI. 

After receiving Christ, they met one another when Wade was attending Overcoming Faith Bible School in Ft. Worth, Texas.  Once Wade graduated, they married and then Carla attended the same Bible School. 

The Porters are the Founders of Living Faith International, a ministry dedicated to teaching the Word and helping believers mature and practically live out their faith in God.  They continue serving as the Senior Pastors of Victory Faith Church in Nairobi, Kenya since its inception in 1994.  They currently oversee 31 satellite churches planted in the rural areas of Kenya, and are the developers of the New Hope Life Development Center which operates Our Home Orphanage & Child Care Center and the New Hope Christian Academy in Budalangi, western Kenya.
